The Kuvamba Trust is a nonprofit organization in Harare, Zimbabwe which exists to transform the lives of at-risk youth through education. Kuvamba is a Shona word meaning to begin – especially to begin something new. Every day we start something new in the lives of our students as we help them build a new future. As we serve God and His children, we seek to aid those who have fallen through the cracks in society.

Our Vision is to restore a generation to fulfill its purpose.

Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Isaiah 58:12

As we tutor and teach at-risk kids, we are rebuilding lives that have been torn down and broken. We want to see children find God, be filled with hope and receive the necessary tools for a successful future.

Our Mission is to create opportunities for at-risk youths to live out Ephesians 4:28, to equip at-risk youths and disadvantaged communities in Zimbabwe through empowering minds by providing tools for transformation through education, training, employment, counseling, and rehabilitation.

Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

Ephesians 4:28

Kuvamba is a grassroots organization doing hands-on work in communities across Harare. We work to transform one life at a time, to build real relationships with the students who come through our doors and walk with them for as long as we are needed.

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.

Zechariah 4:10
